I came up with a unique system that works best for me as I am dyslexic so always had to arrange & rearrange what I saw before I wrote it down so to make sure I had something correct. My system is paper, pen (NOT PENCIL) and then scanning words, symbols etc to then work out the cipher, anagram, etc. Pen is best because it helps focus on achieving the message and pencil with erasing actually breaks the, very, important concentration. So does sneezing, stopping to eat, phone calls…..so many times that even the slightest distraction has made me end up reworking a decode to get the best solve! Anyway, then I find what I believe is the code key and/or code key word or the code key phrase to start unlocking the direction of the message. From there, I run all the cryptic message words symbols punctuation (whatever the cryptic message is) all together so I can start picking out the words & phrases. Then I number them so basically, for example, if there is 122 symbols, that number should match the solve numbers. I got involved with True Crime cases especially during mid 1990s, felt I knew something about the Zodiac cases and believed if I kept trying, might be able to help solve Zodiac and crack the codes. I did end up with working with Dennis Kaufman who did have the right suspect, his Stepdad Jack Tarrance. I finally discovered Jack’s code system and methods he used in cryptic messages and ciphers by December 2017. I am a creator of book of decodes: The World According To Jack Tarrance, The Real Zodiac Killer, Black Dahlia Avenger, Get Hoffa Squad Member, and More (please the pictures below of the books cover). This book (NOW SEVERAL BLOG_TO_BOOKS 11/10/23) includes some DB Cooper era decodes so this site now expands on many of the DB Cooper era communications. I am also an artist so when doing the decodes I found it important to do them by hand and sign, date them. They are in many ways unique works of art.
